When selecting heavy-duty conveyor rollers for mining, you must focus on load capacity, impact resistance, sealing, wear life and stability. Here are the key selection criteria:
1.Select Heavy-Duty Structural Design
Use thick-wall steel pipe for the roller shell to resist deformation under heavy load and impact. The shaft should be solid and high-strength to avoid bending.Larger diameter rollers(φ108,φ133,φ159)provide higher load capacity and lower running resistance.
2.Equip with Impact Resistance
At the feeding point, install rubber cushion rollers/impact rollers to absorb shock from bulk ore and rock, protecting the belt and roller body.
3.Use High-Grade Sealing System
Mining has high dust, mud and water.Choose multi-labyrinth seals to prevent dust and moisture from entering the bearing.Good sealing greatly extends service life and avoids locking.
4.Select Premium Bearings and Lubrication
Use heavy-duty,low-friction bearings suitable for continuous operation.Fill with high-performance grease to ensure stable rotation, high temperature resistance and long lubrication life.
5.Match Roller Spacing
Reduce spacing for heavy-duty and impact sections to prevent excessive belt sag, material spillage and belt wear.
6.Consider Harsh Environment Adaptation
For underground, wet or corrosive mining conditions, choose anti-corrosion,waterproof and wear-resistant rollers to reduce maintenance and downtime.
Summary
Mining heavy-duty rollers must be:
strong structure,impact-resistant,excellent sealing,reliable bearings,long service life.
Correct selection reduces belt damage, energy consumption and maintenance cost, improving conveyor efficiency.
