Support Roller

Support roller,a vital component of belt conveyor systems,is designed to support the conveyor belt and the transported materials,ensuring stable and efficient operation of the entire conveying line.Widely applied in mining,construction,ports,cement plants,and other industries that handle bulk materials,support rollers bear the main load of the conveyor system,reduce friction between the belt and the supporting structure,and prevent belt sagging or deviation,which directly affects the service life of the conveyor belt and the overall operational efficiency.

The structure of a support roller is compact and practical,consisting of core components including a roller shell,roller shaft,bearings,bearing housing,and sealing system.The roller shell,the part in direct contact with the conveyor belt,is made of high-quality Q235 carbon steel through precision machining,ensuring a smooth surface to minimize friction and wear.For abrasive working conditions,the shell can be coated with rubber or polyurethane to enhance wear resistance and protect the conveyor belt.

The roller shaft,made of 45#carbon steel with heat treatment,provides strong load-bearing capacity and anti-bending performance,avoiding deformation under heavy loads.Bearings used are deep groove ball bearings with good sealing,preventing dust and water from entering and ensuring smooth rotation with low noise.The multi-stage sealing system further enhances the roller’s adaptability to harsh outdoor or dusty environments.

Support rollers are mainly divided into troughing support rollers and flat support rollers.Troughing rollers,composed of 3-5 rolls in a V-shape,form a trough to hold bulk materials and prevent spillage,suitable for conveying sand,gravel,ore,and other lumpy materials.Flat support rollers,with a single flat roll,are used for light-duty conveying of non-abrasive materials like grain or finished products.
