Main Types&Applications

Port idlers are available in various types,tailored to different positions and cargo types in port conveying systems.Troughing idlers,composed of a 3-roller or 5-roller assembly forming a U-shaped trough,are widely used in main conveying sections for bulk cargo(coal,iron ore,grain),effectively preventing cargo spillage,especially in inclined or long-distance conveying lines.Carrying idlers,with single,dual,or multi-roller structures,are suitable for general cargo and container conveying lines,providing stable support for loaded belts in both indoor and outdoor port areas.Return idlers are usually flat,V-shaped,or spiral-shaped;flat and V-shaped return idlers support the empty return section of the belt,while spiral return idlers have a self-cleaning function,removing sticky cargo residues(e.g.,wet coal,cement)from the belt to prevent deviation.Impact idlers,equipped with rubber,polyurethane,or ceramic surface layers,are installed at loading points(e.g.,ship unloaders,hoppers)to cushion the heavy impact of falling bulk cargo,protecting the belt and idlers from premature damage.Garland idlers,with flexible multi-roller sets,are used in curved conveyor sections(e.g.,between ship unloaders and storage yards)to ensure smooth belt operation and avoid deviation.In addition,self-aligning idlers are widely used in long-distance port conveying lines,automatically adjusting the belt position to correct deviation and reduce maintenance workload.
