What Conveyor Rollers Are Used in Mining?

Mining conveyor rollers must withstand harsh conditions—heavy loads,high material impact,excessive dust,moisture,and abrasion.The selection is tailored to different positions and working requirements of the mining conveyor system.Below are the most commonly used conveyor rollers in mining,each designed to address specific challenges.

1.Impact Rollers:Essential for loading zones where ore,coal,or gravel falls from high places.They feature rubber or polyurethane-coated rollers to absorb impact,reducing belt wear and roller damage.Equipped with reinforced steel frames and high-seal bearings,they prevent dust and debris from entering,ensuring durability in high-impact scenarios.Their spacing is usually 0.3–0.75m to evenly disperse impact force.

2.Heavy-Duty Troughing Rollers:The core of the main conveying section,used to support the loaded belt and bulk materials.They have larger diameters(133mm,159mm or larger)and thickened steel shells to resist deformation under heavy loads.A 35°–45°trough angle prevents material spillage,while high-load deep groove ball bearings ensure smooth rotation even under extreme pressure.

3.Self-Aligning Rollers:Critical for long-distance mining conveyors prone to belt deviation.With a swing frame structure,they automatically adjust the roller angle when the belt deviates,guiding it back to the center.The heavy-duty version has reinforced bearings and sturdy frames to adapt to mining’s heavy loads and frequent adjustments.
